Overview of the role
DeepCrawl is currently growing at an exceptional rate, and in order to drive and support this growth we’re looking for passionate and determined candidates to assist with the day to day operations of the finance function to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively through accurate bookkeeping, credit control and supplier payment runs. Your role will be the key first step in producing accurate management accounts and other financial data. The Company will support you through your professional examinations whilst hands on experience in the role will allow you to put the theory of your studies into practice. High achievers will see progression and promotion in their role in line with passing their professional exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping ownership
- Credit control
- Business support
- Progression towards attaining your accountancy qualification
Bookkeeping Ownership
- Posting of all bookkeeping items into the N/L
- Bank and credit card reconciliations for the UK and Poland
- Supplier payment runs for the UK and Poland
- Payroll payments to employees and HMRC each month
- Assistance with the month end pack
Credit Control
- Ownership of chasing customers to pay within the agreed credit terms
- Credit control process in line with company procedure
- Focus on old debtors to ensure they are settled
- Liaising with Management Accountant EMEA to find a solution for bad payers
Business support
- Preparation of supplier vendor forms to assist the commercial teams in closing deals
- Assisting commercial teams with tax information for the UK and Poland
- Assisting the Management Accountant with VAT returns, EC Sales lists and MOSS returns
- Management of accounts inbox
Accountancy Qualification
- Successfully passing examinations
Key Experience
- Graduate or AAT
- Attention to detail
Key Knowledge
- Understanding of bookkeeping and the accounting systems
- Basic Excel/ Google Sheets skills
- Completion of accountancy exams to required level
